Hi, I’m Vanessa Hurtado, and I am a junior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Southern Studies. Throughout my time at Ole Miss, I’ve enjoyed getting involved in organizations that allow me to build community and support others. I have served as an Orientation Leader, Panhellenic Recruitment Counselor, and am an active member of my sorority. These experiences have strengthened my passion for leadership, mentorship, and creating meaningful connections with those around me. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in higher education, where I can continue helping students grow, feel supported, and make the most of their college experience. I am excited to serve as a CLI Ambassador and look forward to learning from my peers while making a positive impact on those around me.
WHY CLI?
I am excited to join the Character of Leadership Initiative because I want to continue developing my leadership skills while learning from others who are passionate about making a positive impact on campus. I look forward to leaning into this experience, becoming more involved in campus initiatives, and growing as a leader who serves and supports the Ole Miss community.
