BIO

“Mary Kate Skelton is the Development Officer for the Ole Miss Alumni Association at the University of Mississippi, where she leads initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement, cultivate philanthropic support, and advance the university’s mission. Skelton began her academic and athletic career at Jones College, where she earned her associate degree and was a member of the women’s soccer team, helping lead the program to NJCAA State and Regional championships in 2016. She later transferred to the University of Mississippi, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications and served as captain of the women’s soccer team. She went on to earn her MBA in 2020 from Mississippi State University. In 2022, Skelton returned to the University of Mississippi to work with the Ole Miss Alumni Association as the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and later transitioned to the role of development officer. In May of 2026, she earned her Doctor of Education in Higher Education (Ed.D.). Skelton was inducted into the Jones College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024 and recognized in the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2026. In her spare time, Skelton enjoys hiking, snow skiing, and traveling with her husband, Trey, and their golden retriever, Sadie.”
