BIO
Dr. Anna Kate Edgemon is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Mississippi and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral (BCBA-D). Her research advances translational and applied behavior analysis, with a focus on justice-involved youth, adolescent behavior, and reinforcement processes. Dr. Edgemon has authored over a dozen peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, Behavioral Interventions, and Residential Treatment for Children & Youth. Her work explores behavioral services in juvenile justice, staff training in non-coercive interventions, and contextual factors influencing adolescent conduct.
Dr. Edgemon holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences from Auburn University, where she earned graduate certificates in advanced research methodology and collegiate teaching. She is a recipient of the APA Division 25 Applied Dissertation Award and has secured internal and external funding to support her community-engaged research. She is also serves as a reviewer for multiple academic journals. Through her scholarship, teaching, and mentorship, Dr. Edgemon is committed to applying behavioral science to promote positive outcomes among vulnerable youth populations.
