BIO
Robert English is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of Mississippi. His primary research and teaching interests are in the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, history of philosophy, and ethics. Originally from the mountains of North Carolina, he enjoys playing guitar, banjo, and running. He lives in Oxford, MS with his wife and two kids.
WHY CLI?
I am especially interested in the virtues of intellectual humility and open-mindedness as they pertain to leadership, as well as understanding which moral virtues help one to be an effective leader and coalition builder in a social environment characterized by tribalism and faction.
