Becca Clark

Counselor, University Counseling Center

BIO

My name is Rebecca Clark, but I prefer Becca. I currently work at the University Counseling Center in Lester Hall. I have just finished my first year and still marvel at the wonderful people I get to work with each day. I have been a counselor in Mississippi since 2023. I moved out to the area in 2021 from Kansas. While in Kansas I earned my MA in counseling and my first LPC in 2017. Before coming to the UCC I worked at residential facilities for adolescent boys (KS), intensive outpatient (MS), and my own business that did not work out but learned a lot. I would say I am a nurturing person trying to provide hope for people to see their inner positive potential and be better. When I am not working, I enjoy being outside in nature on my 86 acres of land by Lake Enid taking care of sheep, goats, dogs, chickens, and cats, soon year or two maybe three some cows, alpacas, more chickens, and a pair of turkeys. I also would say I am crafty, I crochet, enjoy coloring books, plants, and cooking for my family.

WHY CLI?

I am new to the University of Mississippi, so I thought that this would be a good opportunity to learn more. I enjoy exploring but my introvert tendency can be a challenge. I hope that this experience will help me to be better in connecting with others and discover more about the University of Mississippi.
