Grace Kaim

Staff Assistant II, Department of History

BIO

Grace is a historian and museum professional who believes that history is most meaningful when it creates opportunities for people to connect—with the past, with their communities, and with one another. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in History from the University of Mississippi, with additional study in Museum Studies and English. Her professional background includes serving as Head Docent for the City of Oxford, where she managed docent operations and helped visitors engage with local history at the L.Q.C. Lamar House and Burns-Belfry Museum & Multicultural Center. She currently works as a Staff Assistant II in the University of Mississippi’s Department of History, supporting students, faculty, and a wide range of departmental initiatives. Grace is especially passionate about the ways museums, archives, and educational spaces can become more welcoming, accessible, and meaningful for the people they serve. She is excited to be a CLI Steward because she sees leadership as an opportunity to listen, grow, serve others, and use one’s experiences to help create positive change. She looks forward to learning alongside fellow Stewards and contributing to the University of Mississippi community.

WHY CLI?

I am excited to serve as a CLI Steward because I see this as a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and become a more thoughtful and effective leader. I am particularly looking forward to connecting with colleagues from across the University, learning from their experiences and perspectives, and building relationships with peers I might not otherwise have the opportunity to meet.
