Anabell Elsner

Project Coordinator/ALEKS Administrator, Department of Mathematics, College of Liberal Arts

BIO

I am a Project Coordinator in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Mississippi, where I serve as the administrator of the ALEKS Mathematics Placement Program. In this role, I work closely with students, faculty, staff, and university partners to support mathematics placement, student success initiatives, and academic operations. As a non-traditional student and lifelong learner, I earned my Bachelor of Multi-Disciplinary Studies from the University of Mississippi with emphases in Higher Education, Philosophy, and General Business. After beginning my college journey many years earlier, I returned to complete my degree while balancing professional responsibilities, a journey that strengthened my appreciation for perseverance, personal growth, and the transformative power of education. In Fall 2026, I will begin pursuing a Master of Arts in Higher Education at the University of Mississippi. My professional interests include student success, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and improving processes that help students successfully navigate higher education. I am passionate about serving others and believe that education has the power to change lives at any stage. My experiences as both a higher education professional and a non-traditional student have shaped my commitment to fostering supportive, student-centered environments where individuals are encouraged to grow, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal and academic goals.

WHY CLI?

As a higher education professional and lifelong learner, I am excited to serve as a CLI Steward because it offers a meaningful opportunity to continue growing as a leader while collaborating with colleagues across campus to strengthen a culture of character, integrity, and service at the University of Mississippi.
