Keith Jaco

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III, Facilities Management Administration

BIO

I’ve always believed that the best leaders are those who never stop learning from the people around me. My leadership path started back in high school, but my drive to serve truly solidified during my time in the United States Navy, as a HM3, Third Class Petty Officer Hospital Corpsman with the 4th Marine Division. That experience instilled in me a lifelong passion for putting my heart into everything I do—from teaching and lifting others up to constantly bettering myself. Fueling my days with a good cup of coffee, I like to remind people that I am—sarcastic as it sounds—never too old to learn something new. Over the past 25 years, this mindset has honored me with various upper management roles. Today, I’m proud to support the University of Mississippi as a Class ‘C’ Water and Class 3 Wastewater Operator. When I’m not at work, you can find me hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and enjoying life with my grandchildren and my wife, who is my incredible co-pilot.

WHY CLI?

I am excited to serve as a CLI Steward representing the University of Mississippi. In this role, I aim to strengthen my personal and professional integrity while instilling these core values in future leaders.
